Studio Membership
Welcome to our Pottery Studio Community!
At Squeaky Wheel Pottery, we offer a unique and inclusive experience for our in-studio members. As a member, you will have access to a fully equipped workspace that includes pottery wheels and dedicated areas for hand-building. Our studio is designed to cater to beginners and intermediate potters who are eager to learn and enhance their skills.
Members have access to a collection of glazes, underglazes, colored slips, and stains, which we continually expand to offer an array of options. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will handle the firing process, ensuring that your creations receive the care and attention they deserve. With professionals taking care of this crucial step, you can focus on exploring your creative potential and honing your skills without worrying about the technicalities.
One of the most cherished aspects of our studio is the sense of community we cultivate. We believe that creativity thrives in an environment where artists can support and inspire each other. As a part of our small clay community, you will have the opportunity to forge new friendships, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. We embrace the joys and challenges of clay exploration, celebrating both the successes and the lessons learned through failures.
To ensure enjoyment and productivity in our studio, we do require a ceramics background or previous experience equivalent to two to three beginner classes. This proficiency enables you to work independently, without direct supervision or instruction, empowering you to work at your own creative vision. Membership eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure that our studio remains suitable for our members' needs.
Lastly, it’s important to note that our studio primarily caters to individuals interested in continuous learning and refining their skills. While we welcome individuals of all skill levels, our environment is not designed for advanced production potters seeking to mass-produce ceramic pieces with minimal margin of error in glazing and firing processes.
If our studio resonates with your goals and aspirations, we encourage you to reach out to us to secure your spot, as there is a limited number of memberships available. We look forward to connecting with you and discussing how our studio can be the perfect fit for your pottery journey.
