Spring Handbuilding Classes

  • Kids Claytime: Planter Pots for Moms

    Hang out in our studio and make a cute and unique flower pot or planter for mom, grandma (or even yourself!)   These will look amazing as a gift, especially with a newly planted flower or indoor plant! Pots will be glazed and fired and ready by Mother's Day. Please send kids in their “clay clothes.”  Children will learn about hand-building with clay, design, sculpting and altering forms. Class includes all clay, glazes, tools & materials, and firing fees. No electric wheel use.

  • Floral Center Pieces (Workshop collaboration)

    Join us for a unique experience in pottery and floral arrangement! We have prepared an exciting Workshop Duo that combines two hands-on activities to create beautiful fresh flower displays and centerpieces. You can join just one of the workshops or both!

    Step 1: Make a vase or centerpiece pottery vessel during our 1.5-hour workshop. Your pottery will be ready 3-4 weeks after class.

  • Make a Mug with Mom

    Gather your tribe - moms, grandmas, and the little ones - for some pottery fun! Let's mold, shape, and create cute mugs while making memories together. no experience needed! Suitable for ages 7 and above.

    Get your hands dirty as we craft mugs that are as unique as you are! They will be glazed and fired and ready to jazz up your coffee breaks a few weeks later!

  • Cinco De Mayo - Salsa & Guac bowls

    Come spice up your Cinco de mayo at our 2-hour workshop and fiesta with us! Get your hands on some clay and craft your very own salsa and guacamole bowls. Dive into the art of handbuilding and create two pinch-perfect bowls or a “double-dipper” to cradle your favorite Mexican munchies! 

    Finish the evening with some chips and salsa and your favorite beverage at your favorite Mexican restaurant!

  • Kitchen Flavor Makers

    Spice up your kitchen with your own handmade ceramic tools! In this fun and functional workshop, you’ll craft a garlic grater, spoon rest, herb stripper, and herb & plant marker - everything you need to level up your cooking game with a personal touch. Whether you’re a foodie, a gardener, or just love getting creative with clay, this class is perfect for you and will start off your fresh herb and garden season. 

    No experience? No problem! We’ll guide you through handbuilding and decorating your pieces before we glaze and fire them for a beautiful, food-safe finish.

  • Fairy Houses - Grown up Edition

    One of our most popular kids classes now coming to the grown-up side. You asked, we delivered! Join us in this magical workshop for a few hours of Fairy Home design and all the whimsical detail that comes with it. Feel free to bring natural elements for inspiration or use our many texture tools and colors on site. We will sculpt, add details, paint with underglazes and finish with a durable clear glaze. Fairy Houses will be ready for their new garden homestead 4-6 weeks later.

Pottery Wheel Classes

  • 2 hr Intro to Pottery Wheel

    Looking for a date night, team building workshop, Girl’s night out, birthday party, quality family time or just some time for yourself, away from life’s hectic pace?

    Our Intro wheel-throwing workshop is the perfect fit! During this fun 2 hour session you will learn to make two to three round pieces (bowl or cup shaped) on an electric potter’s wheel. Your pieces will be glazed and fired by your instructor and can be picked up a few weeks later!

  • Multi-Week Classes (4, 6 or 8 weeks)

    Want to experience the full process of creating a piece of pottery and grow skills on the potter's wheel? Over the course of 4 or 6 weeks, you'll learn about the different stages clay goes through during the making process, as well as the tools and techniques used to create, trim, texturize and glaze wheel thrown pottery. Most participants will make 6-8 pieces. Pottery can be picked up a few weeks later.

    Ages 14 yrs and up (or 11yrs & up accompanied by an adult) Max. 5 participants

    Cost: Class Fees vary and range from $220-$440, (depending on class length)

  • Private Group Class

    Bring the family, the BFF’s, a double date, the team or the office group and enjoy a meditative hands-on clay session! This one guarantees some bonding and some laughs! Choose from pottery wheel or handbuilding options.

    Pottery Wheel: Minimum 4 participants / maximum 6 participants

    Handbuilding/Sculpting: Minimum 4 participants / Maximum 10 participants (Contact us if your group is larger or you are interested in an off-site option)

Do I need to have any experience?

Workshops and classes are geared to those with little or no clay experience and are intended for beginner or refresher students on the potter’s wheel. The cost of the class will include all materials and tools (and glazing and firing by our staff).

If you have some experience (rusty or more recent) - Awesome! Come and join us and enjoy a little refresher.

Is a 2 hour workshop right for me?

We offer 2 hour intro workshops that are ideal for a “first try” or a fun night out with a friend. Workshops might be seasonally themed or focused on specific forms of vessels. So come back often to try your hands at a new project!

I am hooked and want to learn more…

Those who would like to learn a bit more about the whole pottery process - from fresh clump to shiny glazed mug - can join our Four or Six-Week Beginner classes. Classes meet once a week for four or six consecutive weeks. You will get more time to throw, trim, carve, add handles and glaze your own pots.
